Humla is a remote district of Nepal. It lies in mid- western Development Region and belong karnali Zone. District headquarter Simikot is situated at 2890 m altitude this is the highest altitude placed district headquarter of Nepal. District has expand from 29o 25” North to 30o 57” Northern latitude and 81o 18” east to 82o 10” longitude in Nepalese map. Altitude variation would start from 1260 m to 7520 m . Area occupied by this district is 2188 sq Km. Politically Humla district is divided into 9 Ilaka and 27 VDCs and one constituency.
